I've conduct some details test as below

I've plug my iPhone unlimited data SIM to another Mobile Device - Motorola MAXX V3

Using the Motorola MAXX V3 connecting to the internet with APN : mobile.three.com.hk and ping to my server located at HK , found there's not able get the HSPA radio channel in always , If you're able to get HSPA channel , 9x ms to HK's site , if it's not able , 25x ms to HK's site , please also notice there's packet loss on the radio network

Compare with SMC-Voda , there's not much problem on HSPA channel and the packet loss , details will submit later tonight

其實快同慢都唔係差好多, i mean load d page出黎.
你地上網計$都係count mb usage又唔係count時間....
可能對於我黎講, 呢方面的速度無咩咁重要.

大家請留意。我是用3HK 和iPhone差不多之x-series平價data plan。3HK 在iphone和x-series上之data plan是會lock speed的。就算你部iphone有3.6/7.2Mbps HSDPA，也會lock了。不會去到3.6/7.2的，因要與純notebook data plan之easyplus用戶作出保障和分別。

iphone/x-series用的，是3G手機data plan (Voice+data)，用apn: mobile.three.com.hk，而notebook USB modem之7.2Mbps(data only) 是用apn: ipc.three.com.hk

ipc.three.com.hk是沒有速度限制，但月費和其他vodafone/netvigator等等相同貴。

但其實如現想下，(即同時間不太多人同發射站內分享)，應一般上網不覺太慢。而且，手機CPU不同notebook，就算有10Mbps，顯示web page感覺都不覺太快。除非將手機當modem給notebook用才會明顯。

PS: 你手上SIM card IMEI number已限制了你可去的apn.不可隨意轉。除非是roaming ISP

Hi Jim :

Actually , my previous experience is working inside an operator in HK which having the HSPA network , with 10 years IP core networking experience

In more technical , there shouldn't be the IMEI number , IMEI number is your mobile ident. number . I think you're talking about the IMSI .

HLR (Home Location Register) will lookup your IMSI , in order to verify which MSISDN (Mobile Number) are using and which kind of APN you're able to use , and of course , QoS control profile inside mobile element from BSC > MSC > SGSN > GGSN

FYI : Sample HLR information

HLR have a field which used to define which APN using which speed gei...

On the other hand , I found 3 HK's outgoing connection limit has been reached , it's mostly the problem on Gi Firewall (a firewall in front of the GGSN in order to protect over billing) , which doesn't have enough PAT / NAT , and session limitation on it

Beside the Gi Firewall and QoS profile , there's the limitation on the radio , R4 of 3GPP element may not able to support more then 2 upstream are running 384K upload , it's most likely support "1" upstream which driving 384K upload as well , hence we're just like using the GPRS .

Radio planning is also a problem , we didn't know their radio planning is 64K planning or 384K planning as well.
