Yes 3.0 firmware + Mobile Me Account.

But your phone needs to turn on (sleep is OK) and connected to Internet obviously.

Apps take flash memory only just like hard disk in your notebook.

iPhone 3.0 have spotlight to search apps, so more pages are better.

If you don't put too many background jobs, iPhone OS will run very fast.

f you turn off wifi and don't play games, your battery life will be enough for one day.

Apple has optimized many APIs in iPhone OS 3.0. You will get very fast response when using the new OS in iPhone 3G. Especially the Safari is very fast.

But unfortunately some existing games / apps will be broken.

Do I need to turn on "Location" in iphone setting 24/7 for this working? Location is wasting battery using right?

You should turn on
Settings -> Mail -> Mobile Me -> Find My iPhone

instead of Location Service

I mean If you turn location services off, it would appear to turn find my iphone off in the iphones mobile me settings.

so I have to 24/7 on Location Service (using more battery) in oder to have "Find my iphone" Service on 24/7 right?

I think if you really lost your iphone, the thief can just turn off your phone or even turn location off, then you can't find your iphone right?
