I think this method of modifying carrier bundle might not work for unjailbreak iPhone OS 3.0 beta when using unofficial carrier.

This requires a jailbreak iPhone to add the symlink of unofficial carrier code to the carrier bundle folder.

But in any case, I create this for your testing and try at your own risk, for OS 3.0 beta only

how can I update the file, without changing the 3 icon?
I want the original icon, but after using the patch, it change my icon as well...

I don't have mac to edit it....

I have tried the ipcc file of People HK. But it doesn't work.

Firstly, I update the ipcc file through iTunes (press Shift + Update, and choose People_HK.ipcc).

Then restart my 3G iphone.

Check APN setting -- peoples.net

Open SMS icon and input my mobile phone number.

Use MMS and take photo file from iphone (not take picture through iphone).

Send out the MMS and wait for 2 minutes and reply that it is failed.

I tried several times and got the same result.

Please help.

You need to tell me

(1) Did you see the Peoples logo at the top left hand of the status bar (that is the carrier position)

(2) Do you have MMS plan enabled with Peoples (say by sending MMS through other phones)

(3) Did you turn on the 3G or not ?

(4) Does you cellular network work say by using the Weather App to connect to the Internet ?

(5) Does SMS Text work ?

Yes, I saw the Peoples logo

Yes, I have this. When 2.2.1, I used SwirlyMMS to send MMS.

(3) Did you turn on the 3G or not ?

Yes.

(4) Does you cellular network work say by using the Weather App to connect to the Internet ?

No. It is used to connect to the Internet when I turn on 3G and input APN = peoples.net ---> it can work.

(5) Does SMS Text work ?

It works.

Just create a ipcc file for One2Free

Tested by myself, MMS & Internet Tethering both working.....
