http://www.winandmac.com/news/what-happen-when-i-upgrade-iphone-112/ Stage 1: Restore and upgrade to iPhone 1.1.2 Step 1. I downloaded iPhone 1.1.2 restore firmware from Apple.com. Than I go to restore it by using the Option + click method. Step 2. Things are going pretty well. And now the iPhone is in 1.1.2. It is an iBrick and cannot be used for anything. iPhone 1.1.2 Step 3. It looks like the iPhone cannot be using the *#307# technique to bring up the contacts. So I restore it to iPhone 1.1.1 by using the Option + click method in iTunes 7.5. See whether it is reversible. Stage 2: Back to iPhone 1.1.1 and baseband still in 1.1.2. Step 4. Now the iPhone come back to iPhone 1.1.1. Error 1015 at the end. The baseband is still in 1.1.2, which is 04.02.13_G. 1015 error 040213g_bb.png Step 5. Just uploaded the anySIM 1.2 by Elite Team. It seems running. But in the middle, it hangs and go back to springboard. Looks like the iPhone is bricked. OMG. Step 6. I uploaded the anySIM 1.1.1 into my iPhone. And then replace the existing content with the on from Elite Team. See whether it works for this time. Okay. Now erasing my baseband now. Step 7. The iPhone is still locked. Apparently anySIM 1.2 by elite team does not work for iPhone 1.1.1 at 1.1.2 baseband 04.02.13_G. Stage 3: Going back to iPhone 1.0.2 Step 8. Since the anySIM 1.2 cannot unlock my 04.02.13_G at iPhone 1.1.1. I will now go back to iPhone 1.0.2 and try to virgin the baseband. Step 9. I used iNdependence to help me to get into DFU Mode. And then I closed it and start the iTunes. Also used the Option + Click method to select iPhone 1.0.2 firmware. Can enter to DFU mode Step 10. Weird things happened! My iPhone 1.0.2 now unlocked with 04.02.13_G baseband (which is from 1.1.2). Look. 102iphone040213.png Step 11. Now I will try to upgrade my iPhone to 1.1.1 through iNdependence. Click the Pre 1.1.1 Upgrade. Step 12. Upgraded. And Error 1015 at the end like step 4. It holds at the recovery mode and cannot get rid of it using iNdependence. I cannot slide for emergency so cannot try to jailbreak using jailbreakme.com Step 13. Restore it again to iPhone 1.0.2 now. Now activating and will soon flash the baseband. Step 14. Now ierase the baseband. I need to put the new secpack 04.02.13_G from iPhone Dev Team to make it work. And now. The baseband finally erased. 112unlock16.png Step 15. Now virgin the iPhone 1.0.2 so that it can be unlocked again after upgrading to iPhone 1.1.1. 112unlock19.png Step 16. Upgraded to iPhone 1.1.1 again. Now unlocking again with anySIM 1.1.1. Step 17. Things are going back to normal. And happy iPhone at 1.1.1. ok111bb.png Let’s sit back and don’t upgrade your iPhone to 1.1.2 yet. Wait Wait and Wait. |
