在ppc mac 開 pntedit 永遠都開唔到個 AppSupport PhoneNumberTemplates.txt

有冇人好心 upload 個 Hk format 既 AppSupport patched file

等有需要人仕可以replace 落部機到用到 Hk FORMAT

A hacked/modified AppSupport file is need by all 1.1.2 iphone users in ASIA.

It is a good idea to share the modified file.

Gary 兄, if you are reading this, do you think we can include this file in the iphone.org.hk installer source ?

Yes, the file works great. All my SMS match with my contact names right now. Except one dialogue, those SMSs were send to me from Japan. He used PCCW mobile roaming in Japan, sent me few SMS.
Don't know why those SMS still only show the number not match the contact name. The number format is 8529xxx8xxx Any suggestion? Thanks.

For anyone who want to match their sms contact no. with contact list after updating to fm 1.1.2
ps I dont know if this is working for PCCW, but other carriers are all fine

download the file posted by san295 above
rename the file from 15175-AppSupport to AppSupport
connect your iphone using winscp
direct to /System/Library/Frameworks/AppSupport.framework
you can backup the AppSupport back to your computer just in case
upload AppSupport that you have just renamed to your iphone in the directory listed above
After uploading it, rename the AppSupport from AppSupport.txt to AppSupport
delete the orginal AppSupport file in iphone (remember to backup first)
restart your iphone and you are done!

I already did that. But still have some problem. Please see the quote above. Please help.

I'm using PCCW. When I tried it didn't work for me for numbers +852+numbers so I did the pntedit and found the AppSupport file attached above does not have the entry:

hk 852 00 0 3 8

I added it back and works for me now. And I'm not sure why that attached file had the entry: hk 852 1597 0 0 8 (why 1597??) so I removed it.

Attached is the file that works for me.

mmm..... the file not work for me. SMS.app crashed everytime I try to read my SMS. So I have to use back san295's patched Appsupport file.
Seems no solution?

It works for me ok... Have you checked your AppSupp has 0755 permission when you copied to the phone?

Hello. I used your patched file and also check the permission, it's exactly the same with the original one. Still not work, have to use back the first patched file. Strange.

Though just few SMS can't match the name, but honestly, that few SMS are quite important to me. Oh, what can I do? Wait for the next update???

想請教
在讀過各位的文章，我也嘗試跟過來做。然而不知道為甚麼，當我將那個 patch upload 到我的 iphone 時，restart 的話，會出現白蘋果。等了五分鐘都進入不了 Springboard.

跟手我將個 AppSupport 個 backup 抄翻落去，佢就可以入得番 Springboard.

然之後搵過個朋友 send 佢 Ｏ固個 AppSuuport 俾我。雖然入得番 Springboard, 同埋之前 Ｄ contact 睇得番。但係後來Ｄ朋友再 Send SMS 過黎，就出現 Ｏ左 Ｏ向電話顯示 Ｏ固度出唔到 contact list Ｏ既名。

只係顯示得到個電話號碼係 +85264500xxxxxxxx 。

因為佢個 contact 係分開 Ｏ既，咁即係 D SMS 唔能夠 save 番 Ｏ向同一個 dialogue 入面。咁我應該點做好呢？

我試過用 pntedit （我是用 Mac 的），開唔到 AppSupport 所以唔可以自己改 code. 同埋我係用 Smartone台 Ｏ既，會唔會有影響呢？

請求大家幫幫助，教教我點做.

Should have the following two lines in AppSupport file:

hk 852 00 - 0 8 <- it should be '-', not '0'
hk 852 00 0 3 8 <--- for PCCW or any number starts w/ +852

Attached is the one for f/w 1.1.2 and will not work for 1.1.1.

因成日要返大陸,所以係電話簿入面將所有香港電話都係save做 +85212345678.

但係當我係大陸打返香港時,如打0085212345678 / +85212345678係可以認到的.

但當我打125930085212345678就認唔到喇.(12593,好似香港0060 / 1597一樣,比就咁打+85212345678 / 0085212345678 平D)

請問果個CODE應該點樣改,可以認得到呢,我係1.1.2既機.

I don't think this is the AppSupport problem. If you store your contact no. in full: e.g. 125930085212345678 in the address book, the phone should recognize it. I use 1622 to dial international and my AppSupport does not have this entry and still be able to display it. And I would not suggest to change the AppSupport because the rule is to use the shortest format length in your own local area, i.e. if your area supports both 8 and 9-digit format, should use 8.

Without iWorld under 1.1.2, the phone will crash if used in unsupported countries.

AppSupport helps to display the contact name.

Hey, i did the steps for my iphone but when i restarted, it shows only the 'apple sign' and could not load into springboard. So what i did was i connected to my iphone via SFTP (while still showing the 'apple sign') , copied the original AppSupport file back to my iphone, restarted, and finally got me back to my springboard without any problems. Did i do anything wrong? I'm using PCCW by the way. Is there any fix for me? Please advice. :)

I'm using Jailbroken OTB 1.1.2 BL4.6 with TurboSim

I did the same on a OTB 1.1.2 iPhone with PCCW SIM card and Sin Tat 卡[$#36148], it works right away. I can see names in SMS, not phone number anymore.

I use WinSCP software, use SCP to copy files, not SFTP, don't know it is related or not.

PCCW 1.1.2 phones should download the 16482-AppSupport.zip instead of the original because first one does not handle the +852 numbers.

it's me again. the 16482 appsupport worked perfectly with my 1.1.2. but now that i'm in 1.1.3, will this work for me? Please advice and thank you

I still have problem with the international call which cannot recall the name from the phone book. for example, received a call from china +86 123 45678900, it shows the number but not the name in phone book. anyone can help?

hey man is there any new AppSupport 1.1.3 for PCCW?
I still have the problem. I get the 852XXXXXXXX instead of the contact name.
